and where it all started...

Applemoon Interiors was started in 2007 by me - Kim Hayman. I'm a mum of three boys, Elliott , Louie and Finley, and happily married to Mark since 1995.  My mum taught me to sew as a child. She was always making clothes, curtains, quilts and various other items! Her confidence in trying new projects was inspiring and contagious. In 2002, when I was working in a Laura Ashley home store, developing my love for all things 'interiors', my parents decided to move to Canada. When they left, I realised that I needed to hone my own sewing skills, and to get to grips with the intricacies of curtain-making. I enrolled onto a soft furnishings diploma course and loved it! 
I passed the course with some great feedback which built my confidence immensely.  I was then commissioned by a friend to make her curtains, and it dawned on me that I'd really found my niche. Inundated with recommendations and referrals, I registered as a business, and soon Applemoon Interiors was launched. I haven't looked back since!
