our process

At Applemoon Interiors, we know how important it is to have a comfortable and welcoming home. That's why we work tirelessly to create beautiful interior spaces that meet our clients' unique styles and tastes. We pride ourselves on delivering problem-free projects that save our clients time and money by avoiding costly mistakes. We will take care of all the heavy lifting, from designing the perfect layout to sourcing furniture and decor. Our mission is to make your house feel like a home.



At Applemoon Interiors, we believe that good design isn't just about making your home look great, but about reflecting who you are and how you live. That's why we take the time to get to know you, your style, and your unique needs. Our design process begins with a comprehensive online questionnaire that establishes your design goals, preferences, and expectations. We work closely with you to create a plan that reflects your dreams and aspirations for your home.



finding inspiration

After our initial site visit we like to create a

'pinterest' board and invite you to collaborate

with us as we collect and pin images of items and rooms that you like. We start here, pulling ideas together to create an initial design look. You may want to be involved in this part, in which case we encourage you to pin away! If you prefer, you can leave this part to us and we can present our ideas at our first meeting.


floor plans

We will create 'to scale' floor plans of each space we are designing and populate it with furniture, incorporating existing pieces of

 furniture that are remaining in the room. This will allow us to work out the best layout for the room and the best dimensions for any items of furniture that we are sourcing.  We create photo realistic room renders which can really help you to envisage your finished room.  We will also establish a 'shopping list' of furnishings required, such as paint, wallpaper, flooring, lighting etc... and start to gather a selection of samples.

Next we will arrange a meeting with you either at your property or at our design studio where we will walk you through our initial ideas, we can discard anything you don't like and expand on the ideas that you do like. This is where we will get a better idea on how to complete the design and where you will get the first glimpse of what your new room could look like.

Now we really go to town! We will spend our time sifting through all of our samples, rugs, fabrics, papers and paints and curating our favourites ensuring harmony between each of our recommendations. We will research and source all of the additional items required from our trusted suppliers some of which are trade only, We will often take a trip to a showroom or two to see items up close so that we can confidently recommend them for your project.



Next we arrange a meeting with you where we present all of our ideas to you. We will talk you through our rationale for what we have recommended, provide further information on each of the items we have selected for you and discuss any changes or additions you may want to make.

next steps

Once we have presented our ideas we can then make a plan for how you would like to proceed. We can assist with the purchasing and installation of the items sourced for you, assist with finding and liaising with trades and work out a schedule of works for how to implement our design. This may be subject to additional design service fees which would be quoted to you before proceeding
